The Shri Ram Janmbhoomi Temple in Ayodhya has been lit up with dazzling decorative lights ahead of the Ram Darbar Pran Pratishtha ceremony, marking a spiritually significant period for devotees. The sacred ritual began at 6:30 AM today and will continue through June 5, as part of a broader week-long celebration of devotion and festivity.

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath is expected to visit Ayodhya on June 5 to participate in the Saryu Jayanti Janmotsav, which will be held from June 5 to 11. The event, organised by the Anjaneya Sewa Trust, will include a series of rituals, devotional gatherings, and spiritual discourses.

Mahant Rajkumar Das Maharaj, head of Shriramvallabhkunj, shared details of the celebrations, saying, “CM Yogi Adityanath will inaugurate the event by lighting a ceremonial lamp. A special ‘Katha’ will be organised that evening, and the Pran Pratishtha of the Ram Darbar will also take place on June 5.”

The event will conclude on June 11, the full moon day, with a grand special Aarti. Mahant Shashikant Das, President of Anjaneya Seva Samiti, called on devotees to participate in the celebrations, noting the significance of CM Yogi’s presence. “It is a matter of great fortune for us that the Chief Minister will inaugurate the Sarayu Janmotsav. Under his leadership, Ayodhya’s development has gained momentum,” he said, hinting at possible announcements by the CM during the festivities.

In preparation for the religious events and growing spiritual tourism, Ayodhya authorities have initiated steps to preserve the sanctity of key pilgrimage routes. Following public complaints raised at CM Yogi Adityanath’s Janata Darbar, officials have issued notices to ban meat sales along major religious pathways such as Ram Path and 14 Kosi Marg.

Ayodhya Mayor Girish Pati Tripathi also confirmed that a liquor ban in the same areas is under active consideration. “The meat sale ban on Ram Path has already been decided. Plans are also underway to prohibit liquor sales soon,” he told ANI.

The city of Ayodhya is poised for a vibrant week of devotion, with thousands expected to converge for the celebrations amidst an atmosphere of spiritual grandeur and cultural reverence.
